Denise Crumbaker, DVM


Emergency Veterinarian

Dr. Crumbaker is a Colorado native originally from Littleton, CO.  She moved to Fort Collins to attend Colorado State University where she received both her bachelor's degree in Equine Science in 2003, as well as her DVM degree in 2007.  She first joined AECC  in 2007 as an emergency intern where she was able to complete rotations in surgery and medicine as well.  After completing her internship, Dr. Crumbaker joined the fulltime AECC staff.

Dr. Crumbaker’s professional and clinical interests include shock, sepsis, anesthesia, metabolic disease, internal medicine, and the treatment of trauma patients and patients with severe infection/inflammatory disease.

Dr. Crumbaker is a member of the Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Society, the Society of Phi Zeta, and the American Veterinary Medical Association.  On a personal note, she is married (her husband's name is Scott), and they have a daughter named Katelyn. They also have a mini dachshund, 2 cats, and 4 horses. Her hobbies include horseback riding, yoga, reading, and traveling.
