Valerie earned a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of North Carolina- Chapel Hill. She then moved to Colorado in 2001 and later graduated with an Associates of Applied Science in Veterinary Technology from Front Range Community College in 2006. Before starting on the AECC emergency team in 2007, she worked at a veterinary oncology practice.
Emergency medicine is a great fit for Valerie. She loves being there for people to help their pets when most other clinics are not available. Being a part of a team that is committed to providing the highest quality of care for all of our patients is what brought her to AMVS. Working with the specialty teams to provide comprehensive 24 hour quality care is an exciting part of being at this clinic.
Valerie has a 6 year old mixed breed dog, Indigo. They love to hike, bike, camp, cross-country ski, and snow shoe. Traveling is also one of her favorite things to do, although there is so much to see and explore right here in Colorado!
