Deanna was born in Dayton, Ohio, and moved to Colorado in 1999 to attend the University of Denver where she earned her BS in Psychology in 2003. She graduated from Bel-Rea School of Veterinary Technology in 2005 and became certified that same year. She is currently taking pre-veterinary courses at Colorado State University in Fort Collins, CO. Her goal is to attend veterinary school and specialize in pathology or equine medicine. She joined the AECC emergency team in October of 2006.
Deanna enjoys working as an emergency veterinary technician because she can help those animals that are in immediate need of medical care and help them to get better as fast as possible. She loves spending time with the patients and getting to know them so that she can make them as comfortable as possible during their time in the hospital.
In her free time, Deanna enjoys horseback riding, running, hiking, and kick boxing. She has 2 dogs Joey and Charlie and 1 horse Alando. She is very active and tries to take advantage of everything sunny Colorado has to offer.
