Born and raised in Upstate New York, Michelle has lived all over the U.S., but prefers Colorado bar-none. She met her husband of five years, Jason, at work when she had first lived in Boulder in 2001. They had a son in 2003 whilst living in Charleston, SC and then returned to NY briefly to further their education. Michelle was awarded an Associates of Applied Science in American Sign Language Interpreting in 2007. She has partially completed her certified interpreter (CI) degree but has decided to change fields to Veterinary Nursing. She intends to pursue that degree once her son, Fletcher, is enrolled in elementary school on a full-time basis. Michelle joined AECC in 2008.
Michelle loves the sense of personal satisfaction she gets knowing that peoples’ pets are well cared for by the emergency team. She has always loved animals, having two cats herself, and looks forward to pursuing further education in the field of animal health care so that she can play a more integral role in their care.
Michelle and her family currently live in Niwot and are enjoying the rural setting. She and her family have taken advantage of the outdoor activities Colorado has to offer. Her son particularly enjoys fishing…keeping him entertained is key to her maintained sanity.
