Richard D. Park, DVM, PhD

Dr. Park was born and raised in a small town in central Utah. He received a BS from Utah State University in the 1965, DVM from Colorado State University 1968 and completed a residency and PhD program at the University of California, Davis in 1971. Dr. Park has been on the faculty as an assistant professor at the University of Illinois from 1971 to 1974, the University of California, Davis, 1974-1975 and joined the faculty at Colorado State University in 1975. Dr. Park has been at Colorado State University for 33 years serving as Diagnostic Imaging Section Head for most of those years. He is currently in transitional retirement from Colorado State University and consults through Veterinary Diagnostic Imaging Consultants.

Dr. Park has published over 100 manuscripts and book chapters and has interest in orthopedic diseases and imaging, computed tomography and magnetic resonance imaging. Dr. Park has 20 years experience in CT imaging and approximately 8 years experience in MRI.

Dr. Park has been a member of the American College of Veterinary Radiologists for 37 years, has served on the American Board of Veterinary Specialties for 12 years and has assisted in training over 30 radiology residents. He has been married to his wife Carolyn for 42 years and has 4 children and 13 grand children.
