Dr. Kutz was born in Lodi, California and moved to Hastings, Nebraska at age 7. He received a degree in Science from the University of Minnesota where he also studied Veterinary Medicine and received his DVM from Minnesota in 1999. After graduating, he worked at a day practice in St. Francis, Minnesota for 3 years. He then worked at St. Paul Animal Emergency for 2 years before moving to Colorado in 2004. He has worked at emergency clinics in Ft. Collins and Greely and has been a longstanding member of the AECC team here in Longmont.
Dr. Kutz has 6 years of clinical, emergency experience. He enjoys all aspects of emergency and critical care medicine and has a special interest in trauma and abdominal surgery.
Dr. Kutz has been a member of the Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Society for 6 years. He is excited to be part of the changes going on at AMVS and is proud to be able to provide top level care as a member of the AECC team. Outside of work he enjoys spending time with his wife, dogs and cats. He enjoys mountain biking, canyoneering, hiking, camping, snowboarding and sunset happy hours in the canyon country of Utah.
